I opened Sharolan River Fishing, L.L.C. in 2004. Owning a river charter service has been my dream from the first moment I was a guest on a Big Manistee float trip. Fishing (especially fly fishing) has always been a big part of my life.

I am a one person operation and I will plan all aspects of your river adventure. I am a Forest Service permitted guide on the Big Manistee River and I run almost all of my float trips on the Big Manistee. I will run float trips on other rivers, but I prefer the Big Manistee because of its location in the Manistee National Forest. In my opinion, there is no finer river in the state of Michigan that can offer the scenery and quality of salmon, trout, and steelhead fishing as the Big Manistee.

My float trips can be adjusted to accommodate anglers of all levels, also people who have never fished before find my float trips a great way to spend the day. If you need to entertain business associates many executives use my float trips as an alternative to a golf outing or attending a sporting event.
